AN AUSPICIOUS BEGINNING TO THE NEW YEAR

Start the Year of the Rabbit and the Cat the right way! Yes, you heard us right—while the zodiac for China and other Asian cultures designates this year as the year of the rabbit, the Vietnamese and Gurung zodiacs herald 2023 as the year of the cat. This gives us double the opportunity to entertain you while you show off your most glamorous and debonair Lunar New Year attire!

Our cabaret fundraiser will include a light dinner, cocktails, entertainment, and a few surprises along the way from some of your favorite Mu artists, so we hope to see you there!

GENERAL INFORMATION

DATE

Jan 28, 2023, from 7 to 9 p.m. CT

  • Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and cocktail hour begins

  • Dinner begins to be served at 7 p.m., followed by the cabaret

TICKETS

Tickets include two drink tickets for non-alcoholic or alcoholic beverages, a light dinner provided by the Tea House, and of course, seats to our cabaret.

We strive to voice the stories of the Asian American community, and in order to bring performances to those communities whose stories they tell, we are committed to making them as accessible as possible. PAY AS YOU ARE pricing asks those who routinely pay $60 for formal fundraiser tickets to choose to pay that amount; it is the actual fair market value of the ticket. If an audience member needs to pay less, they can choose to pay less—as little as $30 per ticket.

All tickets must be purchased in advance; there will be no tickets for purchase at the door.

VENUE INFO

The Lunar New Year Cabaret will take place at North Garden Theater, located at 929 Seventh W St., Saint Paul, MN 55102. Limited, free street parking is available, but you can also purchase a $2 pass for the theater’s lot about 1.5 blocks away. Learn more at the North Garden Theater website.
