Mu COMMUNITY EVENTS

Oct 30 | Abundance Altar: Diaspora After Dark

Join the SEAD Project, Exposed Brick Theatre, and Theater Mu for an evening of Southeast Asian community as we share and perform stories about the supernatural and offer them to the Abundance Altar, the SEAD Project's digital storytelling archive. Supper is included. Attendees can also wear a costume inspired by their favorite Asian spirit for a chance to win a prize! Pre-registration required. Oct 30 from 6 to 9 pm, Mu Community Room, 755 Prior Ave N, Saint Paul, theseadproject.org/abundance.

Nov 2 | Memory Songs: Navigating stories, survival, and solace

David Mura, traci kato-kiriyama, and Bao Phi are teaming up for a free reading and discussion focused on the intersection of art and activism. Each speaker has accolades aplenty—the respective titles Guggenheim fellow, Japanese American National Museum commissioned artist, and National Poetry Slam finalist are only the start—so don't miss this afternoon of poetry, prose, Asian American history, and collective power. Nov 2 from 3-5 pm, Mu Community Room, 755 Prior Ave N, Saint Paul, bit.ly/tkk-reading.

If you have an idea for an event or want to partner on one, don’t hesitate to let us know! You can email programs manager Morgen Chang at morgen@theatermu.org. You can also stay up to date by following us on social media or signing up for our email newsletters—learn more here.
