For almost 35 years, Mu has been a cultural home and artistic sanctuary, uplifting Asian American stories of resilience, love, identity, and belonging. In a world where Asian American narratives are too often overlooked, censorship threatens artistic expression, and theaters nationwide face funding cuts, Mu stands firm in our mission.

“At Mu, we focus not only on theater-making, but also on community building. Your partnership is an investment in the next generation through in-school and sumer youth programs, teaching artist trianing, and the shepherding of new work in a nurturing environment that AAPI artists and audiences can call home.” | FRAN DE LEON, artistic director

“Theater Mu is who it is due to the community: the artists who are transforming American theater, the audiences who cheer us on, and you—the donors and funders who support us with your significant contributions, be that $5 or $50,000. Thank you for believing in us so much that you invest your hard-earned resources into our mission.” | ANH THU T. PHAM, managing director

With your support, we can raise $25,000 by Dec 31!

AUDIENCE MEMBER of Fifty Boxes of Earth

"Our family elders were in the internment camps during WWII, this show hit home regarding the impact of intolerance and ‘othering.’ ... The show was quite emotional for me. It is the most impactful theatre I've been to in such a long period of time."

“Stories like Maybe You Could Love Me show and reflect that there’s so much more to what we have to say than what we’ve got so far in mainstream media.”
