“One of the best plays of the New York Theater Season, On or Off Broadway!” — Theater Mania
Magno Rubio is the ultimate underdog and Randy Reyes, the beloved actor playing Magno, is the ultimate showman/craftsman. The affable itinerant immigrant Magno has fallen in love with an Arkansas woman through a personal ad in a movie magazine. In this fantastical Filipino fable, an immigrant worker fantasizes about true love. Work songs and ballads using improvised instruments, guitars and a mandolin reflect the heartache and dreams of this celebratory tale.
Randy Reyes*, Eric "Pogi" Sumangil*, Sherwin Resurreccion*, Arnold Filzardo and Kurt Kwan.
