Don Eitel has worked in the arts non-profit world in both creative and administrative capacities. His most recent work was as the Development Associate, Assistant to the Artistic Director at Park Square Theatre, a mid-sized company based in St. Paul, MN. He is also a Founding Member and former Artistic Managing Director of Starting Gate Productions in the Twin Cities, a small, dynamic theatre company which was awarded “Best of the Twin Cities” for small theatre in the Minneapolis/St. Paul Magazine in 2004. He was a music teacher at the East Metro Music Academy and has had earlier corporate experience in a variety of roles (Assistant Product Manager and Assistant to VP of Sourcing) with Paper Magic Group, Inc.

Susie Kuniyoshi has been with Mu since 1999 as Outreach Director and former Mu Daiko member. She performs as a freelance musician and teacher in the metro area on flute, piccolo and Japanese flute. She received her Bachelor of Music degree from Ithaca College, and a Master of Music from the New England Conservatory of Music.

Joining the staff at Mu in 2007 as Marketing and Office Coordinator, Stacey Peterson brings with her a commitment to the performing arts both as an administrator and performer. She received Bachelor of Arts degrees magna cum laude in English and Music Theory and Composition from St. Olaf College in 2005, and recently graduated with a Master of Arts in Ethnomusicology with first class honors from the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance at the University of Limerick.

Randy Reyes has worked at the Guthrie (Hamlet, Pericles, Christmas Carol, Boats on the River, Comedy of Errors, and A Midsummer Night's Dream), the Playwright's Center, Chicago Ave Project, Thirst Theater, and The Minnesota Fringe (How to Cheat). Regionally, Randy has worked at the Alliance, the Cincinnati Playhouse, Great Lakes Theater, Seattle Children's Theater (Tibet Through the Red Box by David Henry Hwang) and others. He trained at the University of Utah Actor Training Program and The Juilliard
School. Randy recently started a 2 year TCG Future Leaders Fellowship under the mentorship of Rick Shiomi. He would like to thank his family for all the love and support.

As a playwright and director, Rick Shiomi has been one of the leading figures of the Asian American theater movement since the early 1980's.
Relocating to Minnesota in the 1990's, he was one of the founders of Theater Mu and is presently the Artistic Director of the company under its current name,Mu Performing Arts. Mr. Shiomi's plays include the award winning Yellow Fever, Rosie's Cafe, Uncle Tadao, Play Ball, Mask Dance, The Tale of the Dancing Crane and Song of the Pipa. He also co-authored the book for The Walleye Kid: The Musical. Yellow Fever has been produced off-Broadway, in Japanese in Tokyo and at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Mr. Shiomi has had his plays produced by the major Asian American theater companies: Asian American Theater Company in San Francisco, Pan Asian Repertory in New York and East West Players in Los Angeles. Yellow Fever has also been published in the U.S. and Canada and Mask Dance appears in Bold Words: A Century of Asian American Writing, published by Rutgers University in 2001. He has also written screenplays for film and television including the Canadian award winning dramatic series ENG.Mr. Shiomi's directing credits include Mask Dance, Theater Mu's first full-length production, The Walleye Kid, The Tale of the Dancing Crane, Song of the Pipa and Maui and the Soul of the Sun. He has also directed at the Asian American Theater Company in San Francisco and at Interact Theater in Philadelphia.

Iris Shiraishi joined Mu Daiko in 1997 and the Mu the staff in 2002. As Taiko Programs Director, she facilitates the public taiko classes along with the rehearsals and performances for the Mu Community Taiko Group and Mu Daiko. Iris maintains an active performing, composing and residency/studio teaching schedule and is a member of Mu's Core Artistic Group. She has degrees in Music Composition, Music Therapy and Arts Administration from the Universities of Hawaii, Iowa and Minnesota. Iris has been a grant recipient of Asian American Renaissance, Jerome Foundation, American Composers Forum (subito), MetLife/Meet the Composer, A Very Small Arts Fund programs and is a 2009 finalist for the Bush Artist Fellowship Program.
